That's just it...Kristi and her handlers, PR manager, etc, have always done a great job of promoting Kristi and her wholesome image. Her "Q" rating and marketability stays constant even 16 years post her Albertville victory. Granted her initial endorsements weren't as expected and less lucrative than the likes that Nancy received from major sponsors, she gradually and consistently landed deals throughout her professional and post-professional career. Her generosity and commitment to helping others through her charity works and humanitarian causes make her VERY likable and appreciated by old (loyal) and new fans.

WOW, come to think about it, Kristi started her skating career in the mid 80's...talk about longevity...surely her DWTS win helped quite a bit with the recent resurgence of Kristi's popularity...she is now introduced as Olympic Champ, 2-time World Champ, National Champ and DWTS Season 7 Champ... How cool is that?

Duh...I knew that being a fan of the show since Season 4...Anyway, maybe it was wishful thinking on my part...they've been buzzing about an upcoming All-Stars DWTS Season featuring the winners of the previous 7 shows and maybe the top 2-3 (not sure if it will come to fruition, though)...I know it could be challenging for the PRO's that were multiple winners such as Cheryl and Julianne...I bet Kristi will give them all a run for their money...I never doubted for a second that Kristi would win since I heard she was a contestant. Kristi remains in the hearts of many fans, young and old...he has legions of fans and so did Mark...I voted like crazy, btw (LOL), via phone and online...I created 10 e-mail addresses just for my Kristi to assure she was NEVER in danger of pre-mature exit from the show...her fans, as usual, did NOT disappoint...I sure wish I knew about this forum DURING her season...I was tired of reading "ringer" threads from ignorant posters at the official DWTS message boards...
